How do I reserve a product?

To reserve a gift, log into your Sortbygifts.com account and head to the “Registries” section in the left-hand menu. Select the registry you’d like to purchase from and browse through the items.

Once you’ve found the perfect gift, simply click on it to view the details. Choose the quantity you’d like to reserve (if more than one is desired) and click “Reserve.” This prevents others from reserving the same item(s), ensuring the recipient receives exactly what they want.

If the recipient desires multiple of the same item, the remaining quantity will still be available for others to reserve.

To purchase the gift, simply click the “Go to Store” button below the reservation button, and you’ll be redirected to the retailer’s website to complete your purchase.

Can I reserve multiple items on a registry?

Yes, you can reserve multiple items on a registry! This includes reserving:

Multiple quantities of the same product: If the registry creator wants more than one of a particular item, you can reserve any number of them, up to the desired quantity.
Different products: You can also reserve multiple different items from the registry.

How do I know if another guest has already reserved an item?

There are a few ways to tell if an item has been reserved on a Sortbygifts.com registry:

Transparency: If all desired quantities of an item have been reserved, the product image will appear transparent and you won’t be able to click on it.
Limited Availability: If only some of the desired quantities are reserved, you’ll still see the product, but you’ll only be able to reserve the remaining amount.
Quantity Counter: Each item in the registry will show how many are desired and how many have been purchased/reserved. This makes it easy to see what’s still available.

Can I unreserve an item if I change my mind?

Yes, you can unreserve an item if you change your mind. Simply log back into your Sortbygifts.com account, go to the registry, and click the “Unreserve” button next to the item you want to release.

This will make it available again for other guests to reserve or purchase. You can only unreserve items that you personally reserved.

Can I purchase a gift from a registry directly through Sortbygifts.com?

While you can’t complete the purchase directly on Sortbygifts.com, we make it easy to buy gifts from registries! Every product on a registry includes a direct link to the retailer’s website.

Simply click the “Go to Store” button next to the item you want, and you’ll be taken to the retailer’s site to complete your purchase. This ensures you get the best price and the most up-to-date information on availability.
